So I hiked a good portion of the Upper Tongue Range yesterday. I made it a little bit past Five Mile Mountain and since I had already done Fifth peak years ago I decided to turn around. This is was a pretty mellow hike and limited views but the best part of the hike was encountering two timber rattlesnakes. The first one startled me and it was barely off the trail and didn’t move while I was able to take pics and videos of it. The second one someone ahead of me had moved it off the trail and it was a much smaller one but I was able to get pics of this one. I love snakes and had wanted to see one. The hike was nice and very dry and the the bugs were out but not biting. It didn’t really feel like I went over 3 mountains but I guess I did. Now onto the lower portion which will be much harder
