Summary
The final section of the north approach to Pharaoh Mountain features slanted rock slabs that become dangerously slippery when wet, covered with leaves and slime. The slippery terrain has led hikers to create social trails to avoid the main route.

The last part of the trail gets covered with leaves and slime when wet. The trail goes over like 3/4 mile of slanted slabs that are really hard to stay on. Hiking poles are required. People are creating trails off the main path as a result and I don't blame them. My feet and ankles took 2 days to recover. Otherwise Saturday was a wonderful day.
