Plateau from Notch Lake, nice easy snowshoe to summit and almost back, where I met a solitary barebooter plowing along. The top is one of the nicest couple of miles anywhere, too bad so many miss it by climbing the shorter, Mink Hlw. Or maybe its a good thing. Without the rocks, roots and erosion, even the steep first mile was enjoyable.
Fir and BI from Biscuit. Again, a nice soft but firm trench all the way around, although the track between Fir and BI does seem to go in circles, but its broken, so good.
I did see fresh tracks on my way out, looked like 11x 30's, headed to South Doubletop, so maybe a report from there will be along soon.
Snow has been good since the last storm only because it has stayed cold. There is not alot there, off trail glissading on the steeps is a bit iffy. Any rain or warm weather will be the end of a good run.
