On the 2nd we made the drive to Waterville Valley, for the relatively easy hike of Tecumseh. I've hiked Tecumseh past, but both times were from Tripoli road. I wasn't sure what to expect with the short distance, and following the side of the ski resort, but I didn't find the trail to be too steep. We started out bare-booting, and put on spikes when the ice became an issue. Looking to the east at the Tripyramids and Mt Whiteface The view to the north Our dog enjoying the summit It was a warm and sunny day, and we probably should have been on a more open summit, but we had a time crunch, so we opted for the short hike. We did get to relax for a short time in the sun in the parking lot, before driving to Vermont, and eventually back to the Adirondacks.
