New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the Stanley J. Hamlin Marsh Wildlife Management Area (WMA) trail at the Old Wetzel Road access in the Town of Clay, Onondaga County, is now open. DEC temporarily closed the trail to conduct a cleanup after a fire on Wednesday, May 13, destroyed a boardwalk and viewing blind. DEC Division of Law Enforcement’s investigation into the fire remains open, and DEC asks anyone with information related to this incident to call (315) 426-7431.
