The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced a temporary closure of the Severne Point Boat Launch Access Site on Seneca Lake in the town of Himrod, Yates County, due to high water levels from recent weather. The Severne Point Boat Launch Access Site will reopen once water levels subside and any debris is cleared. Alternative access to Seneca Lake can be found on DEC’s website .
