Swede Mountain Trail is a short, 1.8-mile round-trip trek accessible from State Route 8. This trail is located in Warren County (11 miles from Brant Lake & 5.5 miles west of Hague) and will soon be added to the Adirondack Fire Tower Challenge . The trail begins with a stream crossing and a steep slope before gradually ascending to the summit. The summit's 47-foot fire tower provides panoramic views of Gore Mountain, Crane Mountain, and Brant Lake. The parking lot at the trailhead can accommodate about 15 vehicles. *Please note that the trail and tower are closed from September 10 to December 16 for hunting season.
