Hiking Trail Description Mount Pisgah is one of two Mount Pisgahs in the Catskills. This small strange peak in the Northern Catskills is always such a treat to hike. I’ve hiked Mount Pisgah several times. This is a quiet and interesting route that offers significant charms. There are so many parts to this trail: the road walk, the abandoned logged trees, the boulder ledge and bare quarry, the steep sections, the views, and then there’s that mysterious summit with its olde worlde remnants. Mount Pisgah is, like Ticetonyk in the Central Catskills, the kind of uncelebrated small mountain that the locals use to get into nature regularly and stay healthy. It’s also unique, historic, and a little strange. I love this little hike so much.
