A 25-year-old hiker sustained an unstable ankle injury at the summit of Grace Peak on June 7. With assistance from nearby hikers and DEC rangers, the injured hiker was splinted and escorted back to the trailhead.
Two hikers (ages 61 and 28) became lost and unprepared for darkness while attempting a multi-peak hike in snowy conditions on Macomb, South Dix, Grace, and Hough mountains. They accidentally triggered a 911 call and were located and escorted out by Rangers.
