The New York Bridge Authority will conduct decking replacement and safety/accessibility upgrades on Bear Mountain Bridge (AT mile 1,409.8 northbound) beginning this year, with at least one sidewalk remaining open to pedestrians throughout the project. Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area announces winter road and parking closures effective January 2, 2026 or upon first significant snowfall, with most sites reopening April 15, 2026. Volunteers and staff completed reblazing and reconfiguration of trails in the southern section of Norvin Green State Forest in New Jersey as of late October 2025, creating several new color-blazed loops with improved navigation. Trail blazes were changed and multiple loops were created, including the High Point, Mine, Will Monroe, and Wyanokie Circular loops.

A wildfire in the Newark Watershed near West Milford, New Jersey has closed Clinton Road and multiple trailheads (P1N–P7) serving Newark Watershed and Wawayanda State Park. As of October 10, 2025, trailheads P3 and P4 West remain closed, while the Bearfort Waters Clinton/Highlands Trail co-alignment is unaffected.
